About the Franklin Eye Center
When
Dr. Tom Wohl left the Vanderbilt faculty in July 2000,
his practice became the Franklin Eye Center. Now, after
almost three years of steady growth, and with a beautiful
new facility at Lincoln Square in Cool Springs, we
have established a center of excellence for total eye
care in Williamson County. The Franklin Eye Center
provides routine, medical, and surgical care to all
ages. It’s a place where you can be fit with
glasses or state of the art contact lenses, and where
you can trust your doctor to be up to date on all aspects
of medical and surgical eye care including (but not
limited to) laser vision correction. And we have a
great staff that is not only skillful and professional,
but also warm and friendly. Yet the Franklin Eye Center
was conceived to be more than just an excellent practice.
Much effort here goes into exceeding your expectations,
both inside and outside the office.
Have
you ever been told that you can’t
be worked into the schedule today?
We can always work you in.
Have
you ever been frustrated by your doctor’s
answering service after hours?
Our automated system will put you right in touch with the doctor on call 24/7.
Have you ever felt that you were dismissed without
a proper understanding of your problem or concerns?
Your health condition will be explained to you
in plain English, and we’ll
let you know what to expect.
Have you been frustrated by insurance requirements?
We’ll file your claims and help make sense of your coverage. And we’re
aware that many of you are not covered or poorly covered for so called “routine
vision exams”. That’s why we offer a complete preventative medical
and refractive eye exam for only $89.
Have you ever suspected that the sales associate
who sold you a pair of glasses might be the same
person who sold you a sweater last week?
Really good eyeglass fitting and construction requires considerable skill and
experience. And we have that covered.
It’s
our pleasure to do some things that go beyond direct
patient care. We participate in numerous health fairs
and Dr. Wohl speaks to interested groups about eye
care and technology. Dr. Wohl was named an examiner
for the American Board of Ophthalmology, which credentials
new practicing ophthalmologists. We participate in
the business community through the Chambers of Commerce
and the Better Business Bureau. And we provide free
eye care services in conjunction with charitable groups
such as Closer to Home, My Friends House, and the Lion’s
Club. Throughout the year, we organize, sponsor, and
host our own writing contest series, What’s Up
with Kids and What’s Up with Seniors. To promote
writing and to recognize writers, we have hosted 9
receptions, awarding 7 computer systems and over $3000
in other prizes over the past two years.
