CELEBS HELP FRANKLIN EYE CENTER GIVE MIDDLE
TENNESSEANS
“STARS
IN YOUR EYES”
(Nashville, TN)--Some of country music’s biggest
stars such as Steve Azar, Pam Tillis, Stella Parton,
Naomi Judd, BR-549 and Hal Ketchum along with media personalities
including Dave Ramsey, Nashville’s very own Ms.
Cheap, Brad @ You’s Brad Schmitt, author/filmmaker
Clay Stafford and numerous on-air personalities from
WKRN-TV, WSMV-TV and WTVF-TV are just some of the growing
list of celebrities donating items to the upcoming “Stars
In Your Eyes” fundraiser sponsored by Franklin
Eye Center (3326 Aspen Grove Drive, Suite 200, Franklin)
to enhance the Center’s annual “What’s
Up With Kids?” and “What’s Up With
Seniors” contests.
These celebrities are donating a set of
eyeglasses or sunglasses, many autographed, to be auctioned
off via
silent auction with all monies raised going to these
two programs. Winners of the silent auction will be announced
at a special open house at Franklin Eye Center, Friday,
July 9, 2004 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
“What’s Up With Kids?” and “What’s
Up With Seniors?” was begun in 2001 by Thomas Wohl
MD, owner of Franklin Eye Center and currently awards
various prizes such as state-of-the-art computer systems
and other monetary awards.
“I am proud to say that both ‘What’s
Up With Kids?’ and its sister contest ‘What’s
Up With Seniors?’ are in their third year. We here
at Franklin Eye Center are looking forward to enhancing
both of these contests and being able to award even more
prizes to the children and seniors of Middle Tennessee.
I am truly grateful to everyone who is joining us in
this effort to encourage and nurture creativity in our
children and seniors.”
The celebrity eyewear will be on constant display beginning
June 7, and bids can be made by visiting Franklin Eye
Center during the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The auction
will close on July 9 at 6 p.m. In addition to the eyewear,
participants can also register to win various other prizes
such as free laser correction surgery, free designer
frames, free autographed CDs from country legend Eddy
Raven and a free facial given by Elysium Day Spa.
